Light To Moderate Drinking Helps Reduce Obesity: Research Shows


Drinking alcohol is always considered as bad for health but a recent research has showed up many amazing results, a latest study has been taken in US over the women of age limit ranging from 40 and above and it has been found out that those women gains less weight if they consume a moderate or light amount of alcohol and they are also at lower risks of becoming overweight as compared to the ladies who do not consume alcohol at all.
This study had been carried by researchers, from theBrigham and Women’s Hospital, and the Harvard School of Public Health in Boston,

Massachusetts and the results of the study have been released in an online paper in the issue of archives of medicine. Alcohol is thus proved to be potentially significant source of dietary calories and more than half of the Americans are alcohol drinkers. The conclusion which was given in the paper states that “”Compared with nondrinkers, initially normal-weight women who consumed a light to moderate amount of alcohol gained less weight and had a lower risk of becoming overweight and/or obese during 12.9 years of follow-up” but it should be kept it mind that potential and medical problems of alcohol are still there so you have to be careful about it
